FlyNex, one of the very first startups we supported through the SpinLab acceleration program, has successfully secured new funding. This round includes a follow-on investment from our partner TGFS Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen as well as the first participation SBG – Sächsische Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH.
The Leipzig-based company and SpinLab alumni is one of the leading providers of solutions for planning, executing, and analyzing drone operations for predictive infrastructure maintenance. With the FlyNex Enterprise Suite, a scalable solution for aerial inspections, numerous customers in the construction, real estate, energy, and telecommunications sectors have already been won. The fresh seven-figure capital will be specifically invested in expanding development resources, strengthening sales activities, and driving international growth, particularly in the DACH region and the Nordic countries.
Andreas Dunsch, CEO of FlyNex GmbH, commented: “With this funding round, we are creating the foundation from Leipzig to systematically advance our national and international expansion and to open up new customer markets. At the same time, we are investing in growing our AI capabilities to further improve the automated analysis of infrastructure data. This will allow us to manage critical infrastructure even more efficiently and with a future-oriented approach using drones. With this new capital, we will not only consolidate our market leadership in enterprise software for infrastructure management via drone but significantly expand it.”
For the first time, Sächsische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (SBG) is participating in FlyNex through the Innovationskapital Sachsen (“RIG”) program as part of this financing round. The program draws on funds from the German federal government’s Zukunftsfonds under the RegioInnoGrowth (RIG) initiative, provided via KfW and Sächsische Aufbaubank. Its goal is to strengthen equity capital for high-growth, technology-driven companies in Saxony and accelerate their scaling.
Our partner TGFS has been invested in the company since 2017. Sören Schuster, Managing Director of TGFS, adds: “With this follow-on investment, we are helping FlyNex take the next crucial step toward a leading market position in drone-based monitoring and infrastructure digitalization. Since our initial investment, the company has developed very dynamically — both technologically and strategically. We are confident that with the provided capital, FlyNex can now scale in a targeted way and sustainably strengthen its position in the European market.”
