FAQ

  • Who can apply?

    Initiative applications

We are always open to interesting personalities who want to support our vision with innovative ideas and new ways of thinking. Feel free to send us an application to jobs@spinlab.co

    Vacant positions

All positions advertised on the job board are vacant. Unfortunately, we cannot store your data in such a way that you can use it for two applications. For two applications, you have to fill out the online form twice.

Partnership in the context of a dual study program ("Praxispartnerschaft")

So far, we have not offered support for dual students as a "Praxispartner" yet. It is possible that this will change this. As soon as that happens, we will update the FAQ.

  • How does the application process look like?

We look closely at each application. This process can take a while - especially if we receive a lot of applications for one position. However, you are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions about the status of your application or the application process.

At the end of the review process, you will either receive an invitation to an interview or a rejection.

    Permanent employees

The first interview takes place digitally and lasts about half an hour. It is intended to be a casual get-to-know-you session in which we talk about your motivation, background and have the opportunity to compare our expectations of each other. After about a week, we will let you know whether we can imagine working with you.

If we see potential in a working relationship from which we both benefit, we will invite you to a second interview. During this interview, we will test your professional suitability. Here you will work on a case study.

If you have also successfully completed this application step, we will invite you to lunch in the following days, where you will get to know the entire team.

    Working student/ Intern

During the interview, we will ask you about your motivation, check your technical knowledge and compare our expectations of each other. Afterwards there are three possibilities: Either you will receive a direct rejection or an offer for the position as a working student / intern within the next few weeks. In some cases, we may also ask you to solve a case study. You will get feedback from the team and if the results meet our expectations, you will receive an offer from us shortly afterwards.

  • What do I need for the application?

For your application, we require a cover letter, a resume, and relevant certificates/references. You can send us the materials in German as well as in English.

    Cover letter

In your cover letter, tell us on one page what you are passionate about, what drives you, and where you would like to go professionally. Link this information to the requirements of the job description and show us what sets you apart from other applicants. An individual focus on SpinLab draws the focus on you and shows us that you are really motivated. Overall, the motto is - as much as necessary, but as little as possible.

    Resume

In your resume, make sure to list only the most important and meaningful career stages. For example, if you have already gained relevant practical experience, you should place more emphasis on this and less on your education.

We leave it up to you to decide whether to include a photo. Before you send your application, we recommend that you check your personal data, especially your phone number and your e-mail, to make sure they are up-to-date and complete.

    Certificates

In addition to school and professional certificates, we ask you to send us any references of relevant activities. If you have not yet completed your studies, please attach an overview of your grades.

  • How do I prepare for an interview?

Please inform yourself about what we do. Normally, we do not introduce ourselves again in detail in interviews. We assume that you have already done this in preparation for the interview.

Moreover, think about why you are the right person for the job. We want to get to know you with your rough edges, because perhaps it is precisely these that set you apart from the other applicants.

Last but not least: prepare questions if things are not clear for you.

  • How is the security of my data ensured?

Of course, we treat your personal data confidentially. Personal data will not be passed on to third parties and your data will only be used for the application process.
