About the Smart Infrastructure Challenge

The Smart Infrastructure Challenge - Low-emission Products (Liquids, Gases) offers startups and scale-ups the chance to work directly with our company partners ExxonMobil, Equinor, K+S, and Ontras on real-world projects in hydrogen, lower emission fuels and infrastructure innovation. We’re seeking solutions across several sub-challenges (see below). Apply to implement and develop your solutions alongside these global players.

The main goal is to present processes and business models/innovations for generating and implementing lower-emission products at scale.

Topic 3: Advanced alternative finished products and drop-in capable intermediates

The main goal is to showcase processes and business models/innovations for generating and applying lower-emission products at scale.

Advanced, scalable, and accessible feedstocks (e.g. bio fuels)
Highly-efficient novel conversion processes (step-skipping, process intensification etc.)
Dispatching ready intermediates for downstream processing or direct use (e.g. hydrogen carriers: Ammonia/Methanol etc.)
Lower emission commodity products (fuels, chemicals etc.)
