The era of digital therapies is gaining traction in Germany. Since the introduction of the DiGA (digital health applications) process in 2020, over a hundred different apps and web solutions have become available on prescription. The aim is to provide evidence-based, modular support for chronic diseases, mental health issues and rehabilitation using digital tools, in line with guidelines. According to DIGA Report 2024, doctors are increasingly using DiGAs, with over one million prescriptions already issued and the market growing rapidly.
