As the share of renewable energy continues to grow, the energy system is undergoing significant change. Not only in infrastructure, but also in how energy is operated and traded.

A significant milestone for the Leipzig startup ecosystem: The British technology group Tracsis plc announced the acquisition of Vesputi, a digital ticketing specialist and alumni of the 6th class of SpinLab. With a transaction volume of up to €8.2 million, the British rail software provider secures strategic access to the complex German public transport market.

SpinLab startups continue to make waves: suena Energy, part of our 13th batch, has successfully raised €8 million in Series A financing. The company is at the forefront of algorithmic optimisation and trading in energy storage and renewable energy.

Another success story from SpinLab alumni: Unbound Potential has closed a €14.4 million pre-seed financing round, combining €8 million in non-dilutive grants and €6.4 million in private investments. The round, described as one of the largest pre-seed financings in Europe, marks a major milestone in the company's mission to transform stationary energy storage with its membrane-free redox flow battery technology.

Following the successful completion of its €7 million seed funding round, SpinLab alumni enaDyne has taken a significant step towards more sustainable chemical production. The funding comes from leading investors such as the Amadeus APEX Technology Fund (a partnership between Amadeus Capital Partners and APEX Ventures) and Energy Capital Ventures. Additional support came from Antares Ventures,Possible Ventures, as well as business angels Wolfram Drescher, Andreas Werner, and Sven Sieber.
